Visiting a new dentist for the first time can make anyone feel nervous. We’re here to change that.
When you call to schedule your appointment, be sure to let our receptionist know about any concerns that you might have. The better we understand your past experiences and expectations, the easier it is for us to help you feel comfortable at each visit.
What to Expect
We make sure all our new patients feel welcome, safe, and taken care of. During your first visit, Dr Wan will review your dental and medical history. For diagnosis, they will examine your teeth and take X-rays of your mouth. From there, the dentist will explain any issues and help you choose options for treatment. We typically proceed with cleaning at a time that is most convenient for you.
After you’ve completed all of your new patient paperwork, Dr Wan will sit with you in the consultation area to discuss your oral health goals, concerns and any questions that you might have. Then we’ll take any necessary X-rays, perform the exam and possibly a cleaning. We feel that the more we get to know you as an individual, the easier it is to minimise any phobias you have of the dental experience as a whole. We work with a mobile anesthetist for sedation patients and can refer for treatment to be carried out under general anesthsia in an appropriate theatre facility. We incorporate the latest advances in dental technology to provide you the health and care you deserve.
